Students of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura, from May 28th to 30th 2018, was participants of the study tour to Hungary, as one of the countries of the Visegrad region. The study tour organization was supported through the Visegrad University Studies Grant VUSG 61450016 “Visegrad for Serbia: Bridging the Gap between Education and Environmentally Friendly Development in Practice” of the Visegrad Fund, which combines incentive programs of four countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

Ondrej Beňuš, PhD., from the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, held the sixth interactive module for master and bachelor students of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura within the project “VISEGRAD for Serbia: Bridging the gap between education and environmentally-friendly development in practice”.

The fourth interactive module for students of the Faculty for Applied Ecology Futura in the framework of the project “VIŠEGRAD for SERBIA: Bridging the gap between education and environmentally-friendly development in practice” was held on 10/04/2018.

The module was coordinated by prof. Dr. J. Attila Kovács from the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, Széchenyi István University in Győr. He talked to students about bioenergy and the possibilities for its sustainable use. Students were able to hear about the physical and chemical characteristics of biomass and biofuels, about bioeconomy principles and importance for rural development in the Visegrad region. Professor Dr Martin Hauptvogl, from the Faculty of European Studies and Regional Development of the Agricultural University in Nitra was the main lecturer and moderator for this first module.

Master and bachelor students of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura, from May 28th to June 1st 2017, were participants of the study tour to Warsaw (Poland) and Brno (Czech Republic). The host of the study visit was Prof. Dr. Edward Pierzgalski, one of the guest lecturers in the project “Visegrad for Serbia: Bridging the Gap between Education and Environmentally-friendly Development in Practice”, supported by the International Visegrad Fund.

Sixth interactive module in the second year of the project “VISEGRAD for SERBIA: Bridging the gap between Education and Environmentally-friendly Development in Practice” was held on May 10th 2017, for master and bachelor students of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura.

This final interactive module in the second academic year of the Visegrad Program implementation was dedicated to interactions between ecology and economy and was conducted by Prof. dr Eva Cudlinova from the Faculty of Economics, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic.

The study tour organization was supported through the Visegrad University Studies Grant VUSG 61450016 “Visegrad for Serbia: Bridging the Gap between Education and Environmentally Friendly Development in Practice” of the Visegrad Fund, which combines incentive programs of four countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

The Faculty of Economics University of South Bohemia in Czech Republic and the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences Széchenyi István University in Győr in Hungary, hosted Futura students and provided logistical and technical support in organizing this study tour. Continue reading

The lectures were attended by students of final years of bachelor studies and master studies, within syllabus of the following courses: Ecoclimatology, Integrated GIS, Project management in environmental protection, Conservation and improvement of biological values and resources, Conservation and improvement of genetic resources, Natural Values and Sustainable tourism.

9On Tuesday, 15 March 2016, prof. JUDr. Eleonóra Marišová, PhD., Vice-rector for Development of Strategic Programs at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, held the fourth interactive module for master and bachelor students of the Faculty of Applied Ecology Futura within the project “VISEGRAD for Serbia: Bridging the gap between education and sustainable development in practice”. 

Within the courses Global Ecology, Natural Values and Sustainable Tourism, Sustainable Development and Natural Resources, Ecoclimatology and Environment and Sustainable Development students had opportunity to learn about legal framework, free access to information, information of public importance, procedures for obtaining information, and also examples of good practices from the V4 countries. At the end of the lecture, students participated in a workshop in which they could learn how to apply for obtaining some information of public importance. Continue reading
